Meet the Dietitian

Hi, I'm Christina Walters. I am a dietitian in Olympia, Washington and Phoenix, Arizona. Yes, I serve both locations as I moved to Phoenix recently but originally from Washington. As a dietitian, I’m on a mission to help kids and adults create a healthy relationship with food and exercise so they can live life more freely. When I’m not working, I’m hanging out with my family, pretending to be the next British baker and enjoying the outdoors.

My own struggles with eating and exercise is what led me to start a private practice. Nutrition can be confusing. I get it. As a young adult, my interest in nutrition soon turned into obsession, all while studying nutrition (I know it's ironic). What started as “being healthy,” quickly led to food rules, rigid exercise, and weight fears. It took me several years working with a team to help heal my mental, spiritual and physical mindset around eating. Overtime I found freedom from the disordered eating by learning to practice intuitive eating, letting go of control and just being honest with myself, God and others.

I’ve seen first hand the impact that diet culture, body shaming, nutrition misinformation, and comparison has had on myself and so many others. I started doing nutrition therapy because I wanted to help others enjoy food, live life to the fullest, and avoid the impacts of false information.

Through a mixture of non-extreme nutrition advice, intuitive eating, and nutrition education, I take my clients from a state of not knowing where to start with their health to food, body, and exercise freedom. I'm extremely passionate about what I do and helping my clients live a truly health-full life.

Treatment Information

Christina offers individual and group nutrition therapy. This can take place in an office setting or online.

In the first session, Christina will get to know each client in a non-judgmental environment. Together, they will determine the best course of action. There is no one-size-fits-all course of action with any health challenge. This means each client will have action steps tailored to them specifically and what works best for them to help them move forward.

Length of Treatment

Most clients see Christina for at least 4 sessions, this can vary depending on the medical nutrition situation. You will rarely meet more than once a week, unless for individual and group sessions. Christina works with each client to figure out goals and help each client feel less overwhelmed by nutrition and health.
